The ADRIASPILL Conference 2026, held in Zadar (Croatia) on 21-23 April, brought together experts, institutions, and practitioners to address the prevention and response to marine pollution in the Adriatic Sea.
The Final Conference of the CEI-led project SUSTANCE – Sustainable public transport solutions and innovative governance schemes for improving connectivity in Central Europe, funded under the Interreg Central Europe Programme 2021–2027, took place in Trieste on 24 March 2026.
On 18 February 2026, GRETA partners convened in Bologna for the project's concluding conference to present the outcomes achieved over a three-year period of regional collaboration. The event was organised in the framework of the Urban Mobility and Logistics Conference held in Bologna, Italy.
On 13 February, the PROCAREFUL partners joined forces in Treviso (Italy) to share the outcomes of the hybrid care approach and related strategies developed over the past three years of project implementation.

On 4 February 2026, updated results of ASAP – Adriatic Sensitive Areas Protection mechanism - a project funded by the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme and led by the Executive Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI-ES) - were presented today in Trieste.
On 27 January, the CEI organised and hosted a workshop on improving environmental conditions in and around Mediterranean ports in Piraeus, Greece. The event was held within the framework of the TREASURE project, which is funded under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme.

The partners of the GreenPATH project gathered in Osijek, Croatia on 21–22 October 2025 for their 4th Steering Committee meeting, a two-day event hosted by the city of Osijek, project partner, that brought together experts and local representatives from across Central Europe.
On 7 October the CEI attended the third CAREGIVER DAY FVG organised by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) to recognise and give value to people who care for their relatives and fragile people. This year’s edition focused on innovation and economic impact of care.
On 1–2 October, Dubrovnik hosted ADRIA 2025 – Adriatic Sea SARex / POLex / COMex, the international exercise promoted by Croatia with the support of European and regional partners.
On 17–19 September 2025, Deputy Secretary General Ivana Pejović participated in the regional workshop in Bar, Montenegro, organised by the South-Eastern Europe Health Network (SEEHN) Secretariat.
On 26–27 June 2025, the CEI-Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES) participated in the fourth TREASURE project meeting in Bar, Montenegro.
The event brought together all project partners for two days of intensive discussions aimed at advancing innovative environmental remediation solutions in port areas.
The CEI has recently contributed to advancing maritime environmental governance in the Adriatic through a regional workshop held in Kotor, Montenegro on 25 June 2025.
