On 26–27 June 2025, the CEI-Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES) participated in the fourth TREASURE project meeting in Bar, Montenegro.
The event brought together all project partners for two days of intensive discussions aimed at advancing innovative environmental remediation solutions in port areas.
Highlights included a workshop with solution providers selected through the TREASURE call for interest, who presented new techniques for improving air quality and energy management in ports. Partners explored how these solutions could address specific local environmental challenges. A study visit to the port of Bar offered firsthand insights into local conditions, enriching the discussions on sustainable port management.
Participants also reviewed updates on environmental monitoring campaigns and took part in an interactive tutorial on the Sediqualsoft tool, aimed at supporting data analysis and harmonisation. Governance and the transferability of project results were key topics, with the CEI-ES presenting the first draft of the TREASURE Strategy for transferability. Partners shared progress on pilot testing activities in their respective ports.
The CEI - in its capacity as Project Partner - remains committed to supporting TREASURE in strengthening regional cooperation, environmental governance, and sustainable maritime development in Adriatic and Mediterranean ports.
