The 2022 edition of the Barcolana Sea Summit organised in Trieste on 5-7 October looks at the need for a holistic and integrated approach to face the complexity of ensuring the sustainability of the Mediterranean - thus putting international cooperation, support to science and technology safeguarding the Mediterranean, and the role of businesses and institutions first-place.
On 23 September, the Consortium of the CEI-led project NAMIRS gathered in Portoroz, Slovenia to examine the state-of-play of ongoing and future project activities, six months after its kick-off.
At the press conference for the launch of the Barcolana Sea Summit, taking place in Trieste at the beginning of October, the NAMIRS project was presented as one of the major joint initiatives for the protection and safeguarding of the sea as a common resource.
As project partner of the SUSTOURISMO Interreg Adrion project, on 30 November the CEI-ES has promoted a fruitful virtual round table among main local and regional stakeholders who have been supporting the design and implementation of the pilot initiative “Take a ride on the green side – Enjoy a sustainable visit to Grado and Aquileia”.
