On 24 February 2025, in Tirana, CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, met with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Igli Hasani.

The main topics of discussion were: the promotion of European integration, regional cooperation, the situation in Ukraine, sustainable development, and the strengthening of the CEI.

Local and international stakeholders gathered in Durres, Albania, on 19 February to discuss preservation, protection and exploitation of the marine environment, which is essential to support blue growth, and the wide range of sectors involved, from fishery, aquaculture, maritime transport, coastal, marine and maritime tourism.

On 14 February 2025, the CEI-Executive Secretariat participated in a seminar on “Territorial Cooperation in Europe and in the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia”, organised by the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Trieste.

Following his meetings in Belgrade and Bratislava, Secretary General Franco Dal Mas continued his international tour to the CEI Member States with a visit to Budapest where he held a constructive meeting with Péter Sztáray, Hungary’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Security Policy, and Energy Security.

On 13 February 2025, CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, Juraj Blanár, in Bratislava to present the priorities of the CEI and discuss cooperation with Slovakia.

On 11 February, CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas took part in a coordination meeting at the Rectorate of the University of Udine, focused on the goal of making the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region (FVG) a model of resilience for Europe.
