Partners of the GreenPATH Project, co-funded by the Interreg Central Europe Programme, convened in Kecskemét (Hungary) on 21–22 April 2026 for the project’s 5th Steering Committee Meeting.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress achieved so far and to align on the next phases of the project, which aims to improve sustainable mobility management across Central European Functional Urban Areas (FUAs). Discussions focused on the ongoing pilot actions, implemented in a variety of urban contexts, including university campuses and industrial areas. These pilots are generating valuable insights into how innovative mobility solutions can be adapted to different local conditions and, ultimately, replicated beyond the project territories.
Throughout the two days, partners exchanged views on the development of data-driven action plans to support decision-making, as well as on strategies to strengthen the integration of project results into policy frameworks. Attention was also given to the assessment of the environmental and social impacts of the pilot activities, with a view to ensuring their long-term sustainability and scalability.
The Kecskemét meeting confirmes the importance of transnational cooperation in addressing mobility challenges and advancing more sustainable, inclusive and resilient urban transport systems in Central Europe.
The meeting also addressed upcoming communication and dissemination efforts, which will play a key role in raising awareness among stakeholders and citizens, and in supporting the uptake of project outcomes. The Steering Committee session provided further strategic guidance, helping to consolidate a shared vision for the next phase of implementation, which will also be the final phase of the project.
