The informal MFA meeting (luncheon) on the margins of the UN General Assembly, where the CEI has had observer status since 2011, was successfully held in New York on 23 September.
The third Committee of National Coordinators (CNC) meeting under the Moldovan CEI Presidency took place in Istanbul on 30 May at the premises of the Permanent International Secretariat of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC PERMIS). It followed the Coordination meeting between the BSEC and the CEI at Troika and Secretariat level.

On 7 November 2022, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov hosted the annual meeting of the CEI Foreign Ministers in Sofia.
On 14 June, a delegation from the CEI-Executive Secretariat headed by Secretary General Roberto Antonione paid a visit to Zagreb to meet with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gordan Grlić Radman.

On 8 October, Ministers, State Secretaries and other high officials dealing with environmental issues in CEI countries gathered in Trieste for a Conference organised within the Sea Summit hosted by the world-renowned regatta, the “Barcolana”.
