As a lead partner of the “COME-IN!” project for the accessibility of Museums, the CEI actively took part in the launch of the new exhibition of the Museum of Prehistory and Protohistory of Thuringia in Weimar (Germany) on 27 June.
On the occasion of the meeting of the jury of the CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism, held in Trieste on 29 June, the CEI Secretariat - in cooperation with the news agency ANSA - organised a open panel discussion on the media in South East Europe.
On 12-13 June, the Institute for Transports and Logistics (ITL) and the Region of Emilia-Romagna (RER) hosted the 2nd Steering Committee meeting of INTER-CONNECT (Intermodality Promotion and Rail Renaissance in Adriatic – Ionian Region), financed under the Interreg ADRION Programme and the ERDF and IPAII funds.

The Heritage First Aid-HEFA project was launched on 20 June at the National Historical Museum of Tirana, Albania. This Museum is affiliated with the Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of Albania and exhibits artworks from prehistoric to more recent times. All the existing materials are preserved in exhibition spaces or in the museum’s store.

On 16 June, the CEI attended the launch of the new exhibition “Stone by Stone” of the Maritime Museum “Sergej Masera” of Piran, Slovenia, as Lead Partner of the EU project “COME-IN!” for the accessibility of Museums.
As Lead Partner of the EU project “COME-IN!” for the accessibility of Museums, the CEI attended the launch of the new exhibition “Prehistory in the hands” of the Archeological Museum of Pula, in Croatia on 14 June.
RAD 2018 was organised by the RAD Association in cooperation with the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš on 18-22 June. The sixth edition gathered 292 participants from 39 countries, 169 of which were from CEI countries.
On 14 June the CEI hosted the launch event of pilot action n. 1 of the CONNECT2CE project, financed by ERDF under the Interreg Central Europe programme.
On the occasion of the Austrian EU Council Presidency starting on 1 July 2018, the Trans European Policy Studies Association TEPSA held its traditional Pre-Presidency Conference in Vienna on 7 and 8 June.

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Central European Initiative held their annual meeting in Split (Croatia) on 11 June 2018 under the Croatian CEI Presidency. The gathering was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Ms.

The Ministerial Conference on “Fostering Cohesion and Competitiveness through Regional Cooperation” took place in Zagreb, Croatia on 6 June 2018.

The International Expert Conference on Combined Cargo Transport took place in Zagreb on 29 May 2018. The event was organised by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure on the occasion of this year’s Croatian CEI Presidency.

The 3rd CNC Meeting held under the CEI Croatian Presidency took place in Trieste, at the CEI HQ, on 30 May.  The participants focused on recent and forthcoming events of both the CEI Presidency and of the Secretariat, in particular on the preparation of the Meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs in Split on 11 June.  

The Steering Committee Meeting of the project CONNECT2CE (Improved rail connections and smart mobility in Central Europe) took place in Bolzano (Italy) on 23-24 May, on the premises of EURAC (project partner).
The VIII CEI–HECE Spring School on “IoT, economic and management challenges for e-health integration in the enlarged Europe” took place in Koper, Slovenia on 14-17 May. The event was organised by the Higher Education in Clinical Engineering (HECE) of the University of Trieste.
In the framework of the Friuli Venezia Giulia International Piano Competition, the CEI co-sponsored the organisation of the CEI Piano Forum 2018, an international conference held in Sacile, Italy, on 7 May, gathering young musicians and experts from all the CEI countries.
 
Over 40 representatives from 15 parliaments of the CEI Member States gathered in Zagreb, on 14 May, to attend the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee of the CEI Parliamentary Dimension held under the Croatian CEI Presidency.
As lead partner of the project COME-IN! (Cooperating for Open access to Museums – towards a widEr INclusion), the CEI attended the launch of the new exhibition “Work is invisible” of the Arbeitswelt Museum in Steyr, Austria.
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia organised the international conference “Knowledge sharing for building stronger partnerships in the process of European integration” in Zagreb on 25-26 April, in the framework of  Croatian CEI Presidency.
