On 31 August 2026 Secretary General Franco Dal Mas attended the 21st edition of the Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) in Slovenia, one of the leading international platforms for political and strategic dialogue in Central and South-Eastern Europe.

The UA NEXT project: Training Co-creators of Unity of Ukrainians in Bulgaria concluded on 16 July 2026 with a certificate award ceremony at the Embassy of Ukraine in Sofia.

Strengthening regional cooperation as a driver of European integration, supporting the EU accession path of the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova, and promoting closer cooperation in justice, security and connectivity were at the heart of the meeting between CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas and Hungary's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Orbán in Budapest on 16 July 2026. The visit followed the discussions held on 10 July in Rome during the Friends of the Western Balkans Ministerial Meeting, further reinforcing the shared commitment to the reunification of Europe through regional cooperation.

On 25 June 2026, Secretary General Franco Dal Mas took part in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026) in Gdańsk, Poland, the leading international conference dedicated to Ukraine's reconstruction, organised by the Governments of Ukraine and Poland.

Deputy Secretary General Yurii Mushka took part in the certificate awarding ceremony of the UA NEXT: Strengthening Dialogue and Local Engagement of Ukrainian Communities in CEI Countries project, held in Prague on 29 May 2026 at the Embassy of Ukraine, Czech Republic.

The 12th edition of the CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art Curators, promoted by the Trieste Contemporanea Committee with the support of the CEI, took place at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice on 8 May during the pre-opening days of the Venice Art Biennale.
The International Conference Equal Pay Day, held in Prague on 26-27 March under the theme “Future”, brought together around 1,800 participants from 18 countries.

The University of Trieste and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv concluded the final week of their joint capacitybuilding project with the workshop Upheaval Ukraine: Rethinking Security in a Changing Europe” held in Gorizia from 23 to 27 February 2026.

The meeting of the CEI Committee of National Coordinators (CNC), held in Bucharest on 26 February 2026, officially marked the start of the Romanian CEI Presidency 2026.

The 19th South East Europe Media Forum (SEEMF) was held in Chișinău, Moldova on 17-18 November 2025, bringing together around 100 leading figures from the media landscape, including editors-in-chief, media owners, CEOs, journalists, media experts, diplomats, policymakers, and academics.

CEI Secretary General Hon. Franco Dal Mas, paid an official visit to Podgorica on 2 April, where he met with the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Ervin Ibrahimović.
