On 22 October 2026 Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, addressed Rotary Club Trieste on the topic “The New European Landscape: The Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova on their Path towards the EU. Geopolitics, Integration and Opportunities for Friuli Venezia Giulia and North-Eastern Italy”.
The discussion focused on the reunification of Europe and the role of European integration in strengthening the continent’s stability, security and prospects for development.
“Supporting the European integration of the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova means investing in our common future. Friuli Venezia Giulia and North-Eastern Italy can contribute through their networks, expertise and connections, turning this vision into concrete opportunities,” Dal Mas stated.
The event also highlighted the CEI’s role in fostering dialogue and cooperation between EU and non-EU countries, promoting joint projects and strengthening ties among institutions, businesses and local communities.
