DSG Pejovic highlights regional cooperation and rule of law at Berlin Process anti-corruption event in Tirana

On 15 October 2026 Deputy Secretary General Ivana Pejović participated in the Berlin Process side event “From Regional Cooperation to Collective Action: Strengthening Integrity and Anti-Corruption in South-East Europe”, held in Tirana.

The event brought together representatives of regional organisations and international partners to discuss ways to strengthen integrity, good governance and anti-corruption efforts across South-East Europe.

On the sidelines of the event, DSG Pejović exchanged views with Hani Albert, Director of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), and Arslan Umut Ergezer, Deputy Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC).

During the exchanges, Pejović highlighted the importance of cooperation between the CEI and RAI, underlining their shared commitment to regional stability, the rule of law and European integration. She also stressed the importance of supporting Member States in advancing rule of law reforms, particularly in relation to the relevant chapters of EU accession negotiations.

The CEI's participation reaffirms its commitment to regional cooperation as a means of strengthening institutional capacities, promoting good governance and supporting the European integration process.
