CEI Secretary General Hon. Franco Dal Mas, paid an official visit to Podgorica on 2 April, where he met with the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Ervin Ibrahimović.

The 1st Committee of National Coordinators Meeting under the Albanian CEI Presidency 2024 at the CEI headquarters in Trieste on 29 February, unveiled a comprehensive agenda of the Presidency aimed at advancing regional cooperation and sustainable development across various sectors.

In the framework of the CEI Technical Cooperation Programme, Italy, through the CEI Fund at the EBRD, is financing a 500,000 EUR project to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups in Moldova in boosting their digitalisation, unlocking financing opportunities and enhancing their competitiveness.

The CEI National Coordinators have recently approved two new Technical Cooperation Projects (TCs), to be funded under the CEI Fund at the EBRD, entirely financed by the Italian Government, through a total grant worth 500,000 EUR.
The action has been carried out under the guidance of the Business and Professional Women CR (BPWCR) organising the Prague conference.

Parliamentary delegations from CEI countries gathered in Łańcut, Poland on 3-4 July for their meeting of the General Committee on Cultural Affairs of the CEI Parliamentary Dimension.

On 8 June, the newly-elected President of the Italian Delegation to CEI Parliamentary Assembly, Salvatore Caiata, visited the CEI-Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES) in Trieste, together with Senators Raffaele De Rosa and Roberto Menia, and with Isabella De Monte from the Italian Chamber of Deputies.

CEI Secretary General Roberto Antonione was invited by the Montenegrin Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dritan Abazović to take part in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers and Ministers of European Affairs of the South-East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Budva, Montenegro, on 5 June.

The importance of regional cooperation as a tool for addressing the current challenges and mitigating the impact of the war across the region as well as for further promoting the EU integration process was at the core of the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee of the CEI Parliamentary Dimension, held in Chisinau on 22-24 May  under the Moldovan CEI Presidency for 2023.
