Around 30 students from 11 countries participated in the 23rd edition of the CEI International Summer School organised by the Istituto per l’Europa Centro-Orientale e Balcanica (IECOB) in Bertinoro (Italy) on 11-15 September.
Lectures, round tables and workshops were offered to the students with a strong interdisciplinary approach towards topics such as migration, minority protection, cultural diversity and territorial cooperation.

The 14th edition of the DRC Summer School was held at the University of Pécs, Hungary on 2-9 July under the main topic “New Borders Between Old Neighbours – Return of History in The Danube Region?”. The keynote lecture was subsequently delivered by Erhard Busek, chairman of IDM.

The conference, held in Chisinau on 25-27 May, witnessed the participation of around 60 women entrepreneurs in the crafts field from Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova. Discussions focused on problems faced by women entrepreneurs, solutions and success stories. The gathering aimed at transferring knowledge and exchanging experiences and good practices on migration management in order to contribute to opening new job opportunities.

On 7-10 April, the RomArchive - Roma Film Archive - Workshop & Film Festival took place in Budapest, Hungary. The event was organised in the framework of the long-term project RomArchive– Digital Archive of the Roma, which aims at becoming an internationally accessible virtual discursive space that makes the cultural heritage and history of the Roma visible and responds to recurring stereotypes by a counter-history told by the Roma themselves.

The conference under the title “What holds the future for Europe’s migration and asylum?” took place in Belgrade on 2-3 March. The event was organised in the framework of the Project “SIMPLE migration practice. Sharing best knowledge and EU practice on integration of migrants and existing challenges in Balkan countries. Belgrade (Serbia)”. It brought together more than 30 experts from non-governmental and governmental organisations from 14 CEI Member States strongly affected by the ongoing "refugee crisis".
