On 7 May 20206  a  delegation from the CEI - Executive Secretariat, led by Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, carried out a mission to London for a series of meetings at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Held in Rome on 30 April 2026, the conference “Regional cooperation and the role of the Central European Initiative in EU enlargement: the Republic of Moldova’s path towards accession” organised by the Embassy of Romania and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the Italian Republic, in cooperation with the Istituto Luigi Sturzo, brought together high-level institutional representatives, diplomats, policymakers and experts.

The ADRIASPILL Conference 2026, held in Zadar (Croatia) on 21-23 April, brought together experts, institutions, and practitioners to address the prevention and response to marine pollution in the Adriatic Sea.

The final event of the CEI‑supported project TRUE BLUE – CEI support to Training and Research to Unlock and Enhance the potential of sustainable BLUE Economy for regional cooperation and EU integration took place in Trieste, Italy on 23 April 2026, marking the successful conclusion of an initiative implemented under the CEI Know‑how Exchange Programme (KEP), with funding from Italy through the CEI Fund at the EBRD.

Support to Moldova’s European path and the strengthening of regional cooperation were at the centre of the meeting between Secretary General, Franco Dal Mas, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, in Chișinău on 27 April 2026.
