On the occasion of the Austrian EU Council Presidency starting on 1 July 2018, the Trans European Policy Studies Association TEPSA held its traditional Pre-Presidency Conference in Vienna on 7 and 8 June.

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Central European Initiative held their annual meeting in Split (Croatia) on 11 June 2018 under the Croatian CEI Presidency.

The Ministerial Conference on “Fostering Cohesion and Competitiveness through Regional Cooperation” took place in Zagreb, Croatia on 6 June 2018.

The International Expert Conference on Combined Cargo Transport took place in Zagreb on 29 May 2018. The event was organised by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure on the occasion of this year’s Croatian CEI Presidency.

It aims at honouring the work carried out by investigative journalists and their contribution to investigative reporting despite the difficult conditions under which they often have to operate. Organised in cooperation with SEEMO, the CEI Secretariat is in charge of the overall coordination.

Organised every two years by the Trieste Contemporanea Committee, the competition is open to designers from all 17 CEI countries as well as from Germany, Turkey and the Baltic Countries. The CEI prize is addressed to the best design from non-EU CEI countries. The jury meeting is usually hosted at the CEI HQ.
