The Young Leaders’ Forum (YLF), held in Budapest on 8-10 March, featured outstanding young professionals, aged 25-35, soon-to-become important actors and decision-makers in the field of innovation, research, and development.
The conference was organised by the Antall József Knowledge Centre, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, the International Visegrad Fund in cooperation with the Design Terminal, the National Centre for Creative Industries. It was officially opened by welcome addresses delivered by Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, József Pálinkás, President of the National Research, Development and Innovative Office, and by Bagdy Gábor, Deputy Mayor of Budapest.
During the three-day event, the participants had the chance to improve their leadership skills assisted by professional trainers and interactive workshops. YLF offered a platform to exchange best practices, experience, and ideas with the aim of creating a common standpoint on topics such as an R&D friendly economic environment in the V4 countries, social dimensions of innovation or emerging security challenges in the age of new technologies.
As a follow-up to YLF, an international alumni-network will be established to enhance future cooperation of young and dedicated experts.
The event was co-funded by the CEI Cooperation Fund.
