On 21-22 November, the 4th Steering Committee Meeting of the CONNECT2CE project is taking place in Pilsen (Czech Republic), at the premises of the Regional Authority of the Pilsen Region.
The project - co-funded by the Interreg Central Europe Programme - aims at tackling the weak accessibility of regional, peripheral and cross-border areas of Central Europe to/from the main transport networks and hubs, by addressing three vital areas of public transport: connectivity, integrated tickets and tariffs, and ICT tools.
Project partners will gather to discuss the state-of-the-art of the project and its upcoming activities, in particular regarding the implementation of 8 pilot actions and the stakeholders’ involvement. Transnational toolboxes for improving peripheral and cross-border passenger transport - as one of the outputs of the CONNECT2CE project - will be presented, as well as relevant information on territorial strategies and the process for their implementation.
The meeting is organised by the Regional Authority of the Pilsen Region, as a project partner, in cooperation with the Central European Initiative as the lead partner.
