TIME: 2 - 6 pm
The ACSELL project event “Smart Living Environments for Active Ageing” will be held at the headquarters of the Friuli Innovazione in Udine (Italy). It will focus on strategies and actions for the promotion of smart solutions for active and healthy ageing at regional, national and EU level.
Given the ever-increasing number of elderly people, the urgency of creating age-friendly environments is being perceived globally, not only calling for a renewed political commitment but also for improved policies, services and facilities to address the real needs of senior citizens. For this reason, national and international experts from research center, universities regional governments and other organisations will gather to discuss models of intervention in support of active and healthy ageing, with particular focus on how new technologies and innovative solutions can foster the overall wellbeing of older people.
The CEI-Executive Secretariat will illustrate actions and lessons learned within multiple related European projects.
The event is organised by the Cluster of Life Sciences of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region— Techno Pole Alto Adriatico “Andrea Galvani”— in collaboration with the Central European Initiative, the Italian National Cluster Smart Living Technologies (SMILE), and Friuli Innovazione. It will be open to the public with free admission upon registration.
