The thematisation of theatre as an effective and successful method for the social activation of vulnerable groups was the focus of the CEI-supported conference “Theatre Inclusion-Social Activation“ held on 1-3 June 2022 during the 57th Maribor Theatre Festival, the oldest and most prominent international theatre festival in Slovenia.
Discussions focused on the agenda and challenges of the upcoming Presidency and more specifically, assessed the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the future of European security; and also explored a number of other key issues, such as the significance of the recent political reshuffle in Central Europe, the recommendations of the Conference on the Future of Europe as well as the new challenges to the Green Deal initiative.
The 10th CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art Curators, organised by the Trieste Contemporanea Committee and co-financed by the CEI Cooperation Fund, took place at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice on 22 April.
The CEI Award 2022 at the Trieste Film Festival (TSFF) goes to the Serbian director Milica Tomović for her film Kelti (Celts). It was presented by Zoran Jovanovic, Special Advisor to the CEI Secretary General on the occasion of the awarding ceremony held in Trieste on 24 January.
"We believe that supporting the translation and circulation of literary works could encourage mutual understanding and good neighbourly relations, in line with the CEI mission of promoting intercultural dialogue and preserving cultural diversity", declared CEI Deputy Secretary General, Nina Kodelja.
