The 19th edition of the international conference DisCo 2024, organised by the Centre for Higher Education Studies in collaboration with the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, and supported by the CEI and Microsoft, took place in Prague on 24-25 June, 2024.
The conference included keynote addresses, workshops, presentations and panel discussions with a view to provide a platform for experts from CEI countries and beyond to share practical insights and experiences related to the use AI in promoting the development of digital and entrepreneurial competences. Digital competence in education and responsible use of AI in children, secondary and higher education, were examined by participants both from the teachers’ and form the students’ point of view. As a result of the conference, the need was stressed to deeply investigate the potential of Artificial Intelligence and to develop methods for educating the users to have a critical approach towards AI.
The conference also included the traditional competition for the best e-learning course, featuring a record six courses this year.
