Central European Initiative Deputy Secretary General Ivana Pejović paid a visit to the Secretary General of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) Albert Hani on Sarajevo to further strengthen cooperation between the two regional organisations.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on ongoing and future joint activities, with particular focus on the CEI–RAI partnership, which has contributed to promoting integrity, transparency and good governance across the region.
Deputy Secretary General Pejović also highlighted the importance of the Falcone–Borsellino Programme, one of the CEI’s initiatives aimed at supporting judicial cooperation and capacity-building in the fight against organised crime and corruption.
On behalf of CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, Pejović used the occasion to personally invite the RAI Secretary General to the 30th Anniversary of the CEI Executive Secretariat, which will take place in Trieste on 17 March 2026. The commemorative conference will mark three decades since the establishment of the Executive Secretariat in Trieste promoted by Italian Vice president and Foreign minister Antonio Tajani and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Oana Țoiu country holding this year’s presidency. It will gather foreign ministers and high-level representatives from CEI Member States and partner organisations to reflect on achievements and future priorities.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of the CEI and RAI to strengthening regional cooperation, promoting the rule of law, and advancing European integration through concrete, results-oriented initiatives.
