The second and third event of the “BSBF promotional roadshow in CEI Member States” were held in Bratislava and Prague, following the successful kick-off in Belgrade.
Hosted by the Italian Embassies in the Slovak Republic and in the Czech Republic, and held respectively on 20 and on 21 March 2024, the team composed of the CEI Secretariat, the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia and the organisers of the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) Trieste 2024 met with the local economic communities and innovation ecosystems: overall, more than one hundred participants attended the two events.
In addition to a thorough presentation of the upcoming BSBF, to be held in Trieste from 1 to 4 October 2024, this broad audience was involved in an open discussion focused on research-industry collaborations and on the emerging Big Science common market in Europe. Inspiring talks were delivered by a multidisciplinary panel of speakers, including government representatives, companies, as well as R&I actors and innovators, in line with the quadruple-helix paradigm. Moreover, successful collaborations between local companies and Big Science Organisations (BSOs) were highlighted in order to encourage other actors to follow these practices, thus becoming protagonists of the European Big Science common market.
The “BSBF promotional roadshow in CEI Member States” will continue in the upcoming weeks with two additional events already scheduled in Warsaw, on 16 April, and in Budapest, on 7 May.
