CEI at 2025 Annual Meeting of Regional Cooperation Council in Tirana

The CEI has recently participated (15 June 2025) in the Annual Meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), held in Tirana under the Chairmanship-in-Office of Albania within the framework of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). Representing the CEI was Deputy Secretary General Ivana Pejović, who joined high-level representatives from RCC participants, regional organisations, and international partners to discuss the future of cooperation in South-East Europe.

The meeting was officially opened with remarks from the SEECP Chair-in-Office and the RCC leadership, accompanied by a video message from European Commissioner Marta Kos. Participants reviewed key milestones, including the RCC Annual Report 2024–2025, the Strategic and Work Programme 2026–2028, and the implementation of the SEE2030 Strategy, a key roadmap for regional development aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In her statement, Amb. Ivana Pejović reaffirmed the CEI’s commitment to working closely with the RCC and other regional actors in pursuit of shared objectives.

“The CEI is proud to be a partner in this shared effort. We remain committed to further enhancing our cooperation with the RCC and all regional stakeholders,” she said. “We are confident that through joint action and coordinated engagement, we can translate our common goals into tangible results. These calls for multilateral actions are vital for steering the region towards a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient future.”

DSG Pejović also welcomed the progress made on the SEE2030 Strategy and expressed the CEI’s interest in contributing further to regional coordination efforts. She confirmed the CEI’s active participation in the upcoming Coordination Meeting of Regional Organisations, scheduled to take place in Sarajevo in autumn 2025.

The CEI’s engagement at the RCC Annual Meeting reflects its continued role as a constructive and reliable partner in promoting stability, development and European integration across South-East Europe.
