PROCAREFUL final conference held in Treviso

On 13 February, the PROCAREFUL partners joined forces in Treviso (Italy) to share the outcomes of the hybrid care approach and related strategies developed over the past three years of project implementation.

The final conference gathered representatives of local and regional public authorities, social and health care institutions, academia and valuable experts in long-term care and healthy and active ageing.

The PROCAREFUL consortium has worked on preventive cognitive and physical decline to ensure longer and healthier living conditions of older adults.
The proactive approach and prevention guided the health care managers, caregivers and final users through the development and testing of the hybrid model. Innovative digital solutions backed with in-person workshops helped in raising the awareness and health literacy of the participants and outlined the adaptability of the tested approach to other contexts.

Through the final event the speakers outlined the benefits and long-term impact of the model in the project area and its potential role in a wider European area.

The CEI was in charge of assessing and promoting the social impact of the PROCAREFUL by developing dedicated scaling up policy strategies.

During the panel on the future of Home Care Innovation the CEI underlined the multilevel and multi sectoral scheme needed to transfer, adapt and implement the PROCAREFUL hybrid approach. The model should be promoted in a prevention and proactive care perspective, targeting the users the could benefit mostly from such approach. With adequate funding, policy support, cooperation and active participations of users, carers and managers and dedicated training the hybrid model can contribute to ensure longer, healthier and active ageing.
