On 1-2 October, 2024, the Warsaw Security Forum 2024, organised by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, took place in Warsaw witnessing the participation of over 2,500 participants from 90 countries, including high-ranking representatives of diplomacy, armed forces, parliaments, and the international business community. Under the main theme #ThinkingEuropeAnew, participants addressed the critical challenges facing Europe and worldwide during two main sessions on Energy Security as the Basis for Just Transition in Post-Industrial Areas and Countering Energy Transition-Related Disinformation, which included discussions on the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the US presidential elections and the evolving European security paradigm.

Day 1 was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Jacek Siewiera, head of the National Security Bureau, who kicked off the defence track. It was also visited by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda and the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili among other personalities and politicians.

The gathering facilitated in-depth strategic discussions on a range of crucial issues, which included: US-Europe relations and the creation of a new, broad Western strategy towards Russia. The Gathering also covered topics such as energy security, critical infrastructure, Europe’s reindustrialisation, defense strategies, the future of NATO, military spending, the use of new technologies in the army, as well as topics regarding disinformation and the use of AI.

A key outcome of the forum was the consensus on providing continued and enhanced support for Ukraine and strengthening ties between Europe and the U.S.

The Warsaw Security Forum is one of the leading European security conferences, dedicated to transatlantic cooperation and focusing on generating responses to common challenges, with a strong emphasis on the role of Central and Eastern Europe.
