The National Coordinators (CNC) of the CEI Member States convened in Trieste on 8 October 2024 for their 3rd meeting under the Albanian Presidency focused on institutional activities, project updates, and administrative matters critical to the CEI’s operations.

The Albanian Presidency briefed participants on its key forthcoming activities, highlighting progress in regional cooperation efforts. Attention was given to the upcoming Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs (MFA Meeting) in Tirana on 20 November 2024.

The CEI Secretariat provided updates on recent initiatives and upcoming projects; on the outcome of the Convention for the Strengthening of the CEI; and on external cooperation, especially with the United Nations and other international and regional players.

Additionally, the Secretariat informed the CNC about the outcome of the CEI Cooperation Fund’s Call for Proposals for 2025, and ongoing work through the CEI Fund at the EBRD, funded by Italy.

The next CNC meeting is scheduled for November back-to-back with the MFA Meeting in Tirana.
