Social Enterprises (SEs) operating in Europe’s disadvantaged regions – such as remote rural areas and/or urban areas that undergo a persisting structural socio-economic change – have been hit as hard as the general economy by the corona crisis. The Final Event of the SENTINEL project focuses on the many opportunities of SEs during and after this unprecedented crisis. While this crisis also threatens the SE-ecosystem/movements in their existence, there is evidence that SEs can and will play a major role in the phase of consolidation and societal recovery.
The ability to catalyse community efforts, SE’s ability to build on transnational networks as well as SE’s trustworthiness vis-à-vis public authorities may be critical in the wake of the crisis. The SENTINEL partnership has worked together for 3 years to introduce novel solutions for strengthening the role of social economy. Our results and main findings will be presented at the event along with our lessons learned.
The participation is open to the public, registration is possible at the following link: https://developingopportunitiestogether.eventbrite.ie
