Coronavirus: 44096 cases in New Europe area, 260 deaths

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MARCH 26 - A total of 44096 confirmed cases of coronavirus (+4102 day-on-day), 31554 in Germany only, and 260 deaths (+49) were registered in countries in Central- and Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria and Greece as March 25, according to official data of national authorities collected by the World Health Organization (WHO). Most of cases of COVID-19 in the area were registered in Germany (31554, +2342 in the last 24 hours, 149 deaths), followed by Austria (5282, +796), Czech Republic (1394, +158), Poland (901, +152), Romania (762, +186), Greece (743, +48), Slovenia (480, +38), Croatia (382, +71), Estonia (369, +17), Serbia (303, +54), Hungary (226, +39), Bulgaria (220, +19), Lithuania (209, +30), Slovakia (204, +13), Latvia (197, +17), Bosnia-Herzegovina (164, +33), North Macedonia (148, +12), Albania (146, +23), Moldova (126, +16), Ukraine (113, +29), Belarus (81), Kosovo (63, +2), Montenegro (29, +7). In Slovenia, Croatia and in the Western Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania) 1978 confirmed cases were registered until March 25. Austria has registered 593 cases of COVID-19 per million inhabitants, followed by Germany (379), Estonia (277), Slovenia (232) and Czechia (130). (ANSA).
