SECNET project partners gathered on 8 January at the premises of the Port of Trieste - Lead Partner of the project - for their 4th Steering Committee meeting. Partners discussed the state of play and progress of the two pilot activities regarding the port security of Koper - Capodistria, Trieste and Venice.
SECNET aims at strengthening operational capacity and cross-border governance of port security in order to meet the EU recommendations for the protection of critical infrastructures and the related management of public – private partnership.
The project identifies strengths and weaknesses of the Northern Adriatic maritime facilities and delivers innovative ICT applications, providing technical expertise and coordination. The new capacity is tested through two pilot actions: enhancement of cyber-security and security of port perimeters.
The CEI, based on its long-lasting experience in the promotion and financing of projects in the field of transport and logistics, is the partner responsible for the communication and dissemination of the project activities and results.
