The Young Bled Strategic Forum is a standalone conference inherently linked to the Bled Strategic Forum where it provides the perspectives of young professionals. This year, young participants will play an even bigger role in the Bled Strategic Forum than in previous editions.

This year, it will host 42 young participants (22 male and 20 female) from 30 different countries, representing diverse backgrounds, including journalists, researchers, NGOs, diplomats, students, activists, politicians, and more.

Organised under the theme “Restoring Common Ground,” it is inspired by this year’s Bled Strategic Forum theme, “A World of Parallel Realities.” At Young Bled Strategic Forum 2024, participants will explore the factors contributing to the divergence of realities and build on these insights to crowdsource solutions that could help realities converge and intersect once again.

To achieve the conference’s objectives, the three-day programme consists of participant-driven activities such as workshops and in-depth conversations with experts. These include workshops on the changing political attitudes of Generation Z, how to use heritage to restore common ground, and what makes audiences susceptible to disinformation.

Young Bled Strategic Forum participants will also be given priority to comment or ask questions during the Q&A portions of the discussions at the Bled Strategic Forum.
