The CEI-supported Trieste Film Festival, the leading Italian festival dedicated to Central and Eastern European cinema and beyond, will take place in Trieste from 16 to 24 January 2025. The programme includes a great number of international and national premieres of feature films, short films, and documentaries as well as particular sections such as the “Wild Roses” highlighting European female filmmakers which, this year, is dedicated to new female perspectives from contemporary Serbia. Various activities - exhibitions, concerts, readings, book presentations, meetings, thematic panels, masterclasses – are also taking place during the Festival.
Traditionally, a special CEI Award will be offered for the film that best represents the contemporary world and dialogue among cultures.
In cooperation with the Festival, the international co-production forum When East Meets West bringing together audiovisual professionals from all over Europe will be held on 19-22 January.
