XXVI summer seminar for young public policy professionals "Strategic Visions for Central and Eastern Europe in the Polycrisis Era"

Applications are now open for the 26th edition of the Summer Seminar for Young Public Policy Professionals, a regional initiative organised by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) with the support of the CEI. Young professionals up to the age of 35 are invited to apply by 26 April 2026.

The Summer Seminar will take place at the Flamingo Hotel Complex, Albena Resort, Bulgaria, from 8 to 12 June 2026.

Who can apply?

  • Young public servants, early- and mid-career diplomats, policy-oriented researchers, and think-tank professionals up to the age of 35 from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and beyond.

Why apply?

  • Explore strategic visions for Central and Eastern Europe alongside 30 selected peers and distinguished international experts
  • Take part in a five-day programme of policy discussions, workshops, a study visit to Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, and a high-level CEE Futures Forum
  • Participation is fully funded

Selection process

The seminar aims to select 30 participants representing a diversity of professional backgrounds, countries and perspectives from across the region.

The event is organised by EPI with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Central European Initiative, the Austrian Embassy in Bulgaria and the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria.
