XXVI summer seminar for young public policy professionals "Strategic Visions for Central and Eastern Europe in the Polycrisis Era"

The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is accepting applications for the 26th edition of its summer seminar for young public policy professionals, taking place in Albena Resort, Bulgaria on 8-12 June 2026.

The seminar brings together young professionals from public institutions, think tanks and research centres across EU and non-EU countries in Central and Eastern Europe. This year's programme includes a workshop on AI in the public sector, strategic foresight sessions, a study visit to Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, and a CEE Futures Forum.

Open to young public servants, early- and mid-career diplomats, policy researchers and think-tank professionals up to 35 from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and beyond.
Thirty participants will be selected.

The seminar is organised by EPI with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Central European Initiative, the Austrian Embassy in Bulgaria and the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria.
