The conference will bring together thought leaders, policy makers, and mobility innovators from across Europe and the Western Balkans. The event is organized by Active Mobility to spotlight the vital role cargo bikes can play in reshaping urban logistics, reducing emissions, and tackling traffic congestion.
The conference will open with a keynote by the Mrs. Laura Maliq MEFA and CEI representative in Albania highlighting the city's ambitions to integrate sustainable delivery solutions and improve quality of life through cleaner mobility choices.
Session 1 will explore European success stories in cargo bike adoption, featuring voices from cities that have pioneered their use in urban logistics and public services. Session 2 will focus on the barriers to cargo bike adoption in the Western Balkans, and how these can be addressed through policy, partnerships, and grassroots innovation. Session 3 will center on Albania, paving the way for a cargo bike revolution in the capital and beyond.
The event will gather representatives from civil society, delivery companies, cycling advocacy groups, international development agencies, and municipal authorities. It aims to foster cross-border dialogue, share practical insights, and set the stage for future initiatives that prioritize sustainable, people-centered mobility in the region.
