The Balkan Economic Forum 2025 was held in Belgrade on 31 October, under the auspices of the CEI.
The event – gathering actors of the public and private sector - focused on the development and implementation of innovative strategies and creative solutions to the current economic challenges facing the Balkan countries to stimulate economic growth through regional cooperation.
The official welcome was delivered by CEI Deputy Secretary General, Zsuzsanna Kiraly.
DSG Kiraly highlighted the importance of the acceleration of the EU accession of the Wester Balkans. “We cannot have a strong and secure Europe with a gap in the middle of it. A stable Western Balkans is a vital part of our shared security”- she said.
Digitalising the Balkans, infrastructure connectivity and blue economy were the other topics of discussion of the event.
