International conference on radiation, natural sciences, medicine, engineering, technology and ecology held in Monenegro

The 12th International Conference on Radiation, Natural Sciences, Medicine, Engineering, Technology and Ecology (RAD 2024) organised by the RAD Centre in cooperation with the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš (Serbia) was held in Herceg Novi, Montenegro on 17-21 June 2024.

RAD 2024 gathered 227 participants from 36 countries, 156 of which were from 16 CEI countries.

Among the topics dealt with were High Intensity Laser-Plasma Particle Sources and Applications sessions that highlights the latest advancements in laser-driven radiation production, encompassing a wide range of particle beams (electrons, ions, and neutrons). Other topics were: radiation detectors; the application of radiation to environmental pollution, environmental sciences, health and environment; use of radiation measurements; nanoradiopharmaceuticals in theranostics; radon and thoron waste management; radiation protection biophysics; medical imaging; medical sciences; rational design and synthesis of nanohybrids for energy and biomedical applications.

The RAD Conference is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scientific meeting which provides a discussion opportunity for researchers and professionals involved in various scientific fields (physicists, chemists, biologists, medical doctors, engineers, technologists, ecologists…).
