CEI Secretariat hosts Tartini Concert of Friendship

On 10 March the presentation of the Concert of Friendship realised by the LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL - Committee Lions Club Northern Adriatic through the Music Conservatory "Giuseppe Tartini"  was held at the CEI Headquarters in Trieste.

As part of the international relations that have been in place for many years between the Italian, Slovenian and Croatian Lions Clubs, the Lions of the territory have decided -  in the spirit of friendship and collaboration - to create committees able to carry out mutual activities to foster mutual understanding.

This year, the Committee Lions Club of the Northern Adriatic decided to utilise music as a unifying element between peoples. In this setting, they took into consideration the Tartini Conservatory, a structure of excellence in Trieste but also well known throughout Italy and abroad.

The concert was preceded by a Press Conference where DSG Zsuzsanna Kiraly underlined that

the CEI has a very important role in promoting cultural diplomacy and also the Lions International had important messages to convey through the field of music, the latter acting as a unifying element between nations. In fact, music is able to connect people through one of the strongest languages: through emotions, she said.

The concert to be organised along these lines is taking place in Trieste on 18 March 2023.

The Music Conservatory "Giuseppe Tartini" was founded in 1903. It is one of the 13 historical Conservatories in Italy and one of the leading Institutions in Europe, constantly updating its training programmess. The students who attend it are of various nationalities: Italian, Slovenian, Croatian, Ukrainian... Every year it promotes a vast plan of international mobility of its students and teachers.
