Secretary General Dal Mas meets with President of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, Fedriga

The strategic role of the Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) Autonomous Region as a bridge between the European Union and the Western Balkans, both in diplomatic and economic terms, was the focus of a meeting held this morning at the Regional Palace in Trieste between CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas and the Governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga.

During the discussion, both parties highlighted the importance of the FVG Region as a key diplomatic hub and centre for international relations in the Adriatic-Balkan region, particularly in the context of EU integration for the Western Balkans. The meeting also reaffirmed the strong cooperation between the CEI and the FVG Region, with the shared objective of fostering synergies between institutions, businesses, and academic entities to strengthen regional and international partnerships.

The CEI remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance regional cooperation and European integration, reinforcing its role as a platform for dialogue and collaboration among its Member States.
