Under the title “A dream without borders", this year’s Forum held celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Cultural Association Mitteleuropa, a CEI long-standing partner promoting every year a debate on actual topics concerning the geo-political and sociocultural scenario in Europe.
Through the contributions of prominent speakers from the local and international institutions, the Forum, held in Udine on 25-26 October 2024, highlighted the cross-cultural cooperation and diplomatic relations developed by the Mitteleuropa Association in Central and Eastern Europe especially thanks to the efforts and commitment of its President Paolo Petiziol. At the same time, reflections were made on the accomplishments achieved so far and the future challenges, also considering the current political challenges.
Presentations were made i.a. by Lamberto Zannier, former OSCE Secretary General; Mark Aurel Erszegi, from the Hungarian MFA; David Lasek, President of the Carpathian Euroregion Association; Romina Kocina, Director of GECT GO; Ivan Pocuch, General Consul of Czech Republic in Milan.
In the framework of the Forum, the participants had the opportunity to attend a guided visit to Aquileia and a concert of the FVG Orchestra.
