Over 200 participants representing editors-in-chief, leading journalists, business professionals, civil society and academia as well as representatives of relevant international organisations and state institutions will gather in Zagreb, Croatia, on 4-5 November for the South East Europe Media Forum. “The Future of Public Broadcasting and Print Media in South East Europe: Financing, Independency, New Business Models” is this year's main focus and the envisaged sessions will address topics such as: Public broadcasts under pressure – between finance struggles and political influence; Multimedia – “rescue package” for established media outlets?; Print media as pillar for democracy. A special session will be devoted to Media and Politics in Croatia.

The Forum is organised by SEEMO in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Media Program SEE and the Central European Initiative, with a special partnership with South East and Central Europe PR Organisation (SECEPRO), the International Academy in Belgrade and International Institute - the International Media Center, Vienna. This year, in connection with the SEEMF theme, a cooperation with EBU – European Broadcasting Union has also been established.
