The European youth takes center stage in Trieste as the CEMAN Orchestra opens its 2025 concert season with a celebration of musical excellence across borders. On Friday, May 24, the prestigious Teatro Verdi will host the final concert of the spring tour, featuring 30 young musicians from eight Central European countries: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Italy – proudly represented by the Conservatorio Tartini of Trieste, lead partner of the project.
The spring tour, running May 21-24, includes performances in Italy and Croatia (Grisignana, Poreč, Zagreb, and Trieste), and highlights a vibrant program dedicated to the early works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Established in 2016, the CEMAN Orchestra brings together students from 10 top music academies and conservatories across Central Europe. More than just a concert, this project, supported by the Central European Initiative (CEI), stands as a symbol of cultural diplomacy and cross-border collaboration, using music as a powerful tool for dialogue and unity.
In the year of GO! 2025 – Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capital of Culture, the CEMAN Orchestra reaffirms its role as a bridge of sound, turning borders into opportunities and showcasing the future of Europe’s classical music scene. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the best of the region’s young musical talent!
