
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 20 - The European Commission has allocated €158.9 million to Albania (€49 million), Montenegro (€44.2 million), and North Macedonia (€65.7 million) as part of the €6 billion Western Balkans Growth Plan, which aims to integrate partners into the EU's single market while also promoting regional economic cooperation and reforms. This allocation follows the third payment request and the Commission's positive assessment of Albania and Montenegro's business competitiveness and innovation reforms, as well as North Macedonia's education and digitalisation efforts. The resources disbursed today bring the total amount disbursed to €212.8 million for Albania, €89.3 million for Montenegro, and €142.1 million for North Macedonia. (ANSA).
