
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 19 - Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi attended the MED9 Interior Ministers' Meeting in Rovinj, Croatia. The political discussion, according to a statement, focused on migration issues, as well as common priorities in the Mediterranean region, EU external partnerships, repatriation implementation, specific tools to be expanded for managing flows from Africa, and the fight against traffickers. Minister Piantedosi met with his Greek counterpart Athanasios Plevris on the sidelines of the meeting, which allowed him to discuss the main topics that will be discussed in Rome on June 17 during the ministerial meeting announced by the leaders of Italy, Cyprus, Greece, and Malta.
