(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 7 - The federal government, states, and German municipalities can expect much lower tax revenue in the coming years than was forecast in the autumn. The working group on tax estimates has released its forecasts for 2026 to 2030. According to these estimates, the federal government, states, and municipalities will face a €17.8 billion revenue shortfall this year. Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil stated that the estimate demonstrates "the extent to which the war in Iran is affecting our economy." (ANSA).
