Tomahawk unit among possible US cuts in Germany: media

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 5 - Following Donald Trump's decision to reduce the number of US soldiers stationed in Germany, one of the units set to be withdrawn is a specialised force tasked with bringing Tomahawk cruise missiles to Europe. According to Politico, the US decision not to station cruise missiles in the country risks creating a "gap" in Berlin's and its allies' defences. Tomahawk missiles would have given NATO the ability to strike farther and more powerfully than any weapon currently in Germany or other European countries. (ANSA).
