Meloni speaks with Radev, a five-year Italy-Bulgaria action plan is forthcoming

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 22 - Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni spoke with Rumen Radev over the phone today, following his victory in the recent Bulgarian legislative election. Meloni, according to a statement, congratulated him on his election victory and wished him the best. The shared desire to strengthen the bilateral relationship was thus confirmed. To that end, the two leaders agreed to work towards the adoption of a five-year action plan that would define priorities and instruments for cooperation between Rome and Sofia, with a particular emphasis on trade, investment, and the defence industry.
