(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 20 - Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement, has warned that Western Balkan countries risk losing over €700 million from the region's Growth Plan unless reforms are accelerated. "The Growth Plans directly connect reform progress to investment and economic opportunities. While Ukraine and Moldova are doing well, progress in the Western Balkans has been much slower," Kos explained during a hearing before the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. "Over €700 million is at risk of being permanently lost across the region if reforms are not completed by June or December 2026," she warned. (ANSA).
