Hungary, Magyar unveiled his first seven ministers

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 20 - Peter Magyar's future Hungarian government will be made up of 16 ministries in addition to the prime minister. The Tisza leader personally announced the news, presenting an initial team of seven ministers and emphasising his belief in "a different style." Foreign Affairs, one of the key ministries, will be led by Anita Orban, a manager with extensive experience in the ministry and international relations between Budapest and Brussels, where she oversaw procurement and relationships with major industrial players. Andras Karman, a trained economist with extensive experience in public administration and financial institutions, will take over finance. He is regarded as a technically savvy individual with a keen eye for public debt management. Istvan Kapitany, a veteran oil and gas manager with an international career at Shell, will lead the economy and energy superministry. General Romulusz Rusin-Szendi, a former Chief of Staff, has been appointed to the Ministry of Defence. He is regarded as a key figure in strengthening Hungary's armed forces and relations with NATO. The team is completed by Zsolt Hegedus, a physician with management experience, for Health; Laszlo Gajdos, for Environment, who is involved in territorial policies and the green transition; and Szabolcs Bona, an agri-food sector representative, for Agriculture. The negotiations to finalise the appointments will continue in the coming days.
