(ANSA) - SOFIA, APR 19 - In Bulgaria, the first exit polls released by the Market Lynx agency at the close of the early legislative polls give former President Rumen Radev's 'Progressive Bulgaria' party in the lead with 38.9 percent of the vote. Hard beating for Gerb's conservatives. Party leader Boyko Borissov had ruled the country in the past for nearly a decade. Now Gerb would take second place with 15.4 percent of the vote. The other news tonight would concern the Socialists. Their Bsp party despite agency predictions would manage to pass the 4 percent barrier to enter parliament by garnering 4.1 percent of the vote. Also according to Market Lynx's first exit polls, the third force in the Bulgarian parliament would be the liberal party 'Let's Continue the Change' (Pp) with 13.6 percent of the vote, ahead of 'Dps-New Beginning,' a Turkish minority party with 7.5 percent. Fifth would be the nationalist 'Vazrazhdane' ('Rebirth') party with 5.1 percent of the vote. Voter turnout high compared to previous elections: according to exit polls from various agencies, it is expected to exceed 55 percent today. (ANSA).
