Sudanese migrant drowns on river between Slovenia and Croatia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 17 - A Sudanese citizen drowned in the Kolpa River on Croatia's border with Slovenia while attempting to cross the river as part of a larger group of illegal Sudanese migrants, the Slovenian news agency STA reports today. The incident occurred on Thursday when police officers stopped a group of seven Sudanese citizens in the area of Grivac, in the municipality of Kostel in the country's south, after they entered Slovenia illegally by crossing the Kolpa.
