Hungarian news agency journalists join Magyar in demanding "impartial reporting"

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 17 - Over 90 journalists from the Hungarian state news agency MTI have called for the "immediate restoration" of impartial coverage, joining the challenge launched by election winner Peter Magyar, who has promised radical reforms to the public media system. Magyar has announced drastic measures, including funding cuts and the suspension of public news outlets accused of acting as a sounding board for Viktor Orban's propaganda, until true editorial independence is ensured.
