(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 1 - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić plans to hold early parliamentary elections by the end of the year, possibly in June, despite the legislative term expiring in December 2027. The Serbian leader is reassured following the "ten-nil" result achieved by the lists affiliated with him and his SNS party in the elections in ten municipalities, which were held amid tension and intimidation on Sunday evening. This despite the fact that the student protest movement's lists finished second in their first electoral test on Sunday, sometimes only a few hundred votes behind the government. In an interview with pro-government broadcaster Informer, Vučić stated that Sunday's vote demonstrated that the student lists had no chance of success. (ANSA).
